With the release of "State of Depression" on Patuxent Records, longtime
bluegrass sideman Travers Chandler steps out front and hits the stages of the
bluegrass world giving everything within him when he leaves. Just 31 years old,
Chandler sings with the power and fervor of his colleagues and peers of todays
traditional bluegrass, with a highly energetic, memorable and informing stage
show. Bluegrass Unlimited has compared him to Dudley Connell and his
mandolin playing has been touted as a new voice in the future of the traditional
Based in Galax, Virginia- the heart of the old time and bluegrass world- Travers
Chandler and Avery County also bring the spirit alive of the region's finest

is an impressive" who's who" of traditinal bluegrass. Members of the band have
