About the artists

From Victoria, B.C., Canada, the band formed in 1996 as the Bill Hilly Band.

Original members Marc Atkinson and Scott White (guitar, mandolin, fiddle) had
formerly played jazz and rock. Added Chris Frye (guitar) and Glen Manders
bass) to the band and began performing folk and acoustic music in various live
music clubs around Victoria.

In 2000, Adrian Dolan (fiddle, accordian, piano) was added. Released first
album.  In 2001, they won the Juno award (Canadian Grammy).

In 2003, fiddler Jeremy Penner was added. The recorded the "Let Em Run"
video, with airplay on Canadian CMT. They decided to shortened the name of
the band to "The Bills."

2004, they released the "Let Em Run" CD on Red House Records.
